After a long break, Xiaomi is preparing to release a new series of tablets. A reliable insider, Digital Chat Station, has already published the main specifications of the Mi Pad 5 model – and three of its modifications at once, which will be presented in different price categories.
According to the report of the informant, the top version of the gadget will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, the more affordable Snapdragon 860, and the younger one – Snapdragon 768G. At the same time, the rest of the technical characteristics and design of all three models will be identical.
The source attributes to the new products an 11-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a sensor sampling value of 240 Hz. All models will have support for 5G networks and dual batteries, the total cell capacity of which will be 8720 mAh. On the side of the new products, a fingerprint sensor will presumably be located.
In addition, it is reported about the possible release of another modification of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 based on the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor – it is possible that it is intended for sale in certain regions instead of one of the Snapdragon versions. The new tablets have already been certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT). It is expected that the presentation of new products will take place next month.
