AMD Hybrid Processor Support to Record Frequency Memory

Popular desktop and laptop processor maker AMD has introduced hybrid processors remain in demand in the assembly of budget solutions and HTPC, News came from Tom’s Hardware published this information about the generation of “RED” APUs and this chip support for DDR4 RAM with a record clock speed.

High memory clock speed is one of the important conditions for increasing the speed of hybrid processors, especially their integrated graphics.

The current AMD mobile U and H series processors officially support DDR4-2400 modules, and Intel Ice Lake processors designed for laptops are capable of working with both DDR4-3200 and LPDDR4-3733.

New Memory Module Frequency Support

According to the source, the new AMD Renoir APUs will receive integrated controllers that can work with LPDDR4X-4266 memory modules, which can significantly overclock the video core of hybrids.
