Microsoft’s foldable Surface Duo smartphone went on sale this week . The first reviews and reviews can hardly be called positive so far. Experts doubt that the device will find its audience. Against this background, enthusiast Jonas Daenert shared an interesting concept of Surface Solo, showing how a Microsoft smartphone with one screen might look like.
The main feature of the Surface Duo is the presence of two 5.5-inch displays that can be used either separately or together to create a small 8.1-inch screen. According to Western journalists, there are not too many really useful scenarios for using this form factor. Considering the outdated hardware and the $ 1399 price tag, the gadget is unlikely to gain popularity. So concept maker Jonas Daenert decided to dream up what the Surface Solo might look like.
The proposed smartphone is not much different from most devices in 2020, but at the same time it is made in the same design as the Surface Duo. It has a thin body with flat edges, and a single camera on the back does not protrude from the body at all.
The entire front side is occupied by a screen with minimal bezels and a small cutout for the front camera. At the bottom there are speakers and a USB Type-C port. Power and volume buttons are traditionally located on the right side of the case.
Alas, this is just an unofficial fan render. However, it is possible that Microsoft will nevertheless decide to release a smartphone in a classic form factor.
