The patent “Method and device for finding objects” with the number CN106877911B was first registered back in 2017 but recently appeared in the public domain. According to the document, the gadget described in it is designed specifically for finding lost things or devices. At the end of last year, Xiaomi has already demonstrated proprietary technology with UWB support. It is possible that the future “beacon” will use this particular technology.
Representatives of the Chinese company have not yet shared plans for the release of such a device. According to analysts, the cost of the future accessory of the Chinese company may be significantly lower than that of previously presented Apple trackers. The date of the announcement of the gadget is also unknown.
