Xiaomi’s New Mijia Projector Announced with 8K Image

The range of proprietary Xiaomi equipment has been supplemented by the advanced Mijia Projector 2 Pro. The novelty has received a powerful processor with support for decoding video in 8K resolution and an auto focus function, as well as powerful built-in acoustics and a LED element with a good margin of brightness.

The native resolution of Xiaomi Mijia Projector 2 Pro is 1080p, and using software decoding, users can enjoy modes for playing content in 4K and 8K. Support for the HDR10 + standard is also provided. The maximum brightness that the LED element of the novelty is capable of producing is 1300 ANSI lumens.

To obtain optimal picture quality, the company recommends using a screen with a diagonal of 60 to 120 inches with a distance of 2 and 3 meters from the device, respectively, the “ceiling” of the new product is 200 inches. A pair of built-in 1.75-inch speakers with a power of 10 W each is responsible for the audio capabilities of the projector. Mijia Projector 2 Pro supports Miracast, DLNA and Airplay technologies. In addition, the new product can be controlled using the XiaoAI voice assistant.

Thanks to the proprietary TOF Non-Sensing Focus and Camera Focus modes, the projector is able to quickly adjust, both when turned on and when transferred to another location. The device is built on the basis of a 12-nm Amlogic T972 processor, the volume of the model’s RAM is 2 GB, and the built-in storage is 16 GB. As a firmware, the manufacturer chose the proprietary PatchWall Android shell, familiar to users of Xiaomi smart TVs.

Xiaomi Mijia Projector 2 Pro will go on sale in China on July 29th for $ 658.
