In a few days, ZTE will unveil the world’s first smartphone with a sub-screen camera – the Axon 20 5G. On the eve of the presentation, the company’s management told about the device of the main feature of the smartphone: according to the vendor, it used the latest third-generation sub-screen sensor, an analogue of which Xiaomi is still preparing to launch on the market in 2021.
ZTE CEO El-Wee Qianhao has confirmed that the Axon 20 5G uses a third-generation camera – the most advanced camera on the market today. The area of the screen area that is required to accommodate it is less than one square inch.
The display is divided into several different layers: protective glass, cathode, LEDs, glass substrate and matrix. The module is coated with an anti-reflective layer for maximum transparency and to combat diffraction.
According to past leaks, the ZTE Axon 20 5G will receive a 6.92-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2460×1080 pixels. The gadget will be built on the Snapdragon 865 or 865 Plus platform, and will be equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The back of the device will house a quad camera with 64, 8, 2 and 2 megapixel sensors.
The presentation of the ZTE Axon 20 5G will take place on September 1, 2020.
