Currently, Realme’s flagship smartphone a few days ago launched named Realme X and which very good smartphone if you’re seeing it’s price, just because this device has a full-screen display with the latest processor from Snapdragon 730, a pop-up motorize camera, 7th generation fingerprint sensor, price starting from Rs. 17,000. And recently launch Android 10 creates hype for in every smartphone companies. Today I’m going to share with you how to unlock Realme X and install TWRP recovery on Realme X.
What is TWRP?
TWRP recovery is a very popular recovery from the custom ROM developer and its a very handy to use. Widely it’s using for flashing custom ROMs, custom kernel and much more modifications as like ROOT access to an Android smartphone. TWRP is an open-source application made for Android devices.

How to Flash TWRP on Realme X
First, make sure is that after rooting your device you’ll not able to receive any security update or any OTA updates.
Getting Ready:
- Download the important files before start flashing
- Realme X driver download
- ADB driver tools download the latest version
- TWRP download for Realme X
After downloading all files into your computer extract the files and install the ADB Driver and Realme X driver software.
Then extract the Platform Tools you downloaded already and move the twrp.img file in platform tool folder and press SHIFT button + Right Click From Mouse and open the Windows Power Shell window.
Note: if you’re using Windows 7 then SHIFT + Right Click From Mouse and choose Command Prompt Window.
Connect your smartphone into your computer or laptop through Data cable. Power off your phone and turn on into “fastboot” mode, and type in Power Shell Window
- adb devices
It will show your device connected or not. If you’re device connected then it shows you a random number. Example: List of devices attached
And now type this line mention below
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.1-9-RMX1901-mauronofrio.img
After flashing is completed the device will restart into TWRP recovery which looks like this image shown below:
Now your bootloader is unlocked, in case if you face any issue using this command and repeat the following process again.
fastboot oem unlock
and flash the Magisk.zip file to root and to use Payment apps like PhonePe, GPay, Paytm UPI. Because in bootloader unlock devices won’t work payment apps.
